Watercolor art - famous artists

Watercolor art is one of my favorite method of painting. Throughout History, there are some great watercolor paintings artists, each had his or her own unique style.
One of my favorite artists is

Ted Kautzky - A watercolor painter

One of the greatest artists in my opinion. His watercolor technique was amazing, in particular if you take into consideration the fact that he lived between 1896-1953, and was an architecture first, before starting his career as a watercolor artist. His work, so peacful and beautiful, yet full of life. His use of color is exact and fluid. He wrote a famous book about watercolor painting.
I love that book, even though it was written long ago, it still contains some of the most important fundamentals about watercolor painting.

My work is partially influenced by this great artist. I paint more abstract watercolor paintings, but the colors, the flow of his artwork, is something I try to have in mind when coming to create my own painting.

I wish you all a great day!

My home town

Hello everyone!
I believe that the place you grew up in as a child has an enormous effect on you as an adult, whether you are aware of it or not.
I grew up in Iraq, many years ago, before my family and I moved to Israel.
One of my favorite painting themes is the desert towns of Iraq.
I try to transfer to the viewer the essence of Iraq deserts, It's feeling as I remembers it.
Although I grew up in a western city , I always loved visiting Iraq desert towns.

For you - artists, searching constantly for your next theme -
Connect to yourself. Don't try to be someone else. Don't try to hide. Don't be ashamed about who you are. The moment you will find yourself, you will find the authenticity which is so important for an artist. Go back to your childhood. Go back to the most instance experiences you had, good or bad, and create from that point.

Have a lovely day, Sefer
